Description:
As the technology and capacity of the wastewater treatment plant in Eberstadt was no longer able to cope with the requirements, the complete new construction of a 50,000 EGW-plant was planned. Eberstadt was the first plant in Germany equipped with the Phostrip-process for biological phosphorous elimination. Phostrip is a patented side stream process which allows the biological degrading of phosphates to the required level without any additional precipitation in the wastewater.
